Community guidelines
Last updated: October 27, 2026
Lettid works because people share real experiences in a friendly way. These guidelines apply to every topic and reply we publish.
Share what you actually did
Topics should be based on your own experience: something you built, fixed, cooked, visited, learned or tried. Questions are welcome too, as long as they are about something you are working on.
Be specific
The most useful posts include the details: rough costs, how long it took, the tools or materials you used and what you’d do differently. Honest mistakes are as valuable as successes.
Be kind
Disagree with ideas, not people. No insults, harassment, hate speech or discrimination of any kind. Remember that beginners are welcome here.
Keep it safe
Mention the safety steps you took, such as switching off power or water. We don’t publish instructions for illegal or clearly dangerous activities, or content that encourages self-harm.
No spam or hidden promotion
Linking to your own project is fine when the project is the topic. Affiliate links, paid promotion and repeated advertising are not.
Respect privacy and copyright
Don’t share other people’s personal information or photos of people without their permission. Only send text and images you created or have the right to share.
Not professional advice
Members share personal experiences. For health, money, legal, electrical, gas or structural questions, talk to a qualified professional.
What happens if a post breaks the rules
We may decline a submission, edit it or remove a published post. If you see something that breaks these guidelines, email simpleworkz@gmail.com with the link.
